First time hiring jazz musicians in Boise? We’re here to help.
Yes, we provide live performances for events of all sizes, including small gatherings and parties. We also offer jazz music for weddings, corporate events, and other larger event settings.
Our core offering is a jazz trio of piano, bass, and drums, but we can augment or substitute this arrangement with virtually any instrument and/or vocalist.
We first determine availability and decide what type of ensemble is right for your event. From there, a 50-percent deposit is required to hold the date, along with a contract for both parties to sign. Final payment will be due one month prior to the event.
Venmo is by far the most popular form of payment, but we also accept cash, check, and PayPal.
Pricing depends on a variety of factors, primarily the length of the event, the number of musicians needed, and travel time for events outside of the Boise metro region.
We do not charge for load-in/load-out or setup time. We only charge for the time we are hired to play including breaks. Load-in is one hour before the music start time. If you require the band to complete the setup more than one hour before the music start time, an additional fee may be charged.
If requested, we can offer installment payments for our services. Kindly inform us and we can arrange a payment schedule. We can provide invoices for companies as well.
Given our busy schedules, the sooner the better, but we will try to accommodate last-minute requests when we’re able. Requests made within one month of the service will require full payment in advance.
In the event of a cancellation prior to the two-week mark, 25% of the total fee will be non-refundable. After the two-week mark, 50% of the total fee will be non-refundable.
Yes! Please note that for travel outside of the Boise metropolitan area, an additional fee will be imposed on a sliding scale. Please note we will not travel in inclement weather.

If the venue requires paid parking, this will be included in the quote from Boise Jazz, Inc. If the band performs three hours or longer, a meal for each member will be required.
We require a 10’ x 10’ space for a trio with keyboard, upright bass and drums. Additional and/or alternative instrumentation will alter this requirement.

Honestly, we know too many songs to list. Our repertoire includes hundreds of jazz standards, Great American Songbook classics, bossa novas, and popular favorites. If you have specific requests, please let us know.
We’re happy to consider your special request. If it’s a song outside our genre, an extra fee may apply for time spent arranging and rehearsing.
If they are a trained musician we’re happy to consider the request in advance of the performance.
